Nice job, man. Great score! Its a winner in my book!
I like the pensive mood at the beginning and the somber cello riff shortly thereafter. The progression is a little slow-paced, but the string swells help add some sense of anticipation and drama. I really like the violin melodies at :56 and the chord progressions at around 1:10. The injection of energy at 1:24 was a welcome change to the texture, and the piece then transitions well back into a mellow and minimal section after the 2-minute mark. The clarinet solo there is particularly lovely, and I also like how you incorporated some non-Western instruments at around 3:10. During this lengthy middle section, it might’ve been nice to find ways of filling out the texture a bit more - a richer atmosphere, or perhaps percussion, would’ve kept things engaging despite the series of slow-paced and tranquil motifs. That said, you transition quite effectively back into the energetic string section at 4:17, and I like the added percussion and dense orchestration at the end. Overall, I’m particularly impressed with the production quality and sound design here. Congratulations on your success in the NGUAC this year, Lordant! ^_^

Thanks for the feedback! :]
Such a beautiful song!
I'm only going to add a little feedback if you'll allow me the honor! You have an excellent song here with such diverse chords and interesting choice of instruments. This pretty much checks all the boxes of orchestral trailer music -- it has the builds and flowing nature that music supervisors can use. Overall, this is a solid composition and an excellent triumphant theme.
I do think the key is too high however. If the french horn players had to play from 04:42 to the end, they would be cussing you afterwards. It's difficult to maintain such high notes for that long, though it can be done.. I would adjust the key if you ever send this score to play live.
Thanks for the feedback again!
Lowering the key lower might be favorable for live performances, as you said. Although I'm not quite sure if it will be THAT diffucult, the longest hold, considering pauses, is near 3 seconds long. Do you think expanding the pauses will work well, or it'll be still too air-requiring for high register?
Good job man, this is great
Thanks a lot! :]
