Oh you have some good talents with this piece I'm big on jazz so this was some nice work indeed
~X~
This was a fun track to make.. made something completely different from what I usually make.. the only limitations are the instruments I can use, so I tried to make my FL Studio stock violins and winds sound as good as possible lol... they are definitely not meant for lead parties. I did get a good piano tho.
edit: I just realized how many stock plugins I used lol... i also used FPC drum sampler xd

This kinda sounds like something from a Kirby game, or maybe a Brawl remix. Regardless, I like it.
I like the distinct and fast-paced chord progression at the beginning. The busy drums and somewhat dissonant harmonies are neat, and I’m also enjoying the string melodies at :31. There’s a nice waltzy meter at :45. The sound design and blissful mood combine to give this piece a showtunes vibe, and the mixing and mastering are really solid as well. Some of the transitions are a little abrupt, like at 2:03. I think the downtempo section at 2:18 is my favorite part of the piece, but harmonically the transition back into the refrain at 2:47 didn’t feel particularly smooth either. The piece is also missing some bass tones at times, leaving the texture sounding a bit thin in places. Overall, you certainly took some risks with the harmonic framework and arrangement, the former of which paid off better than the latter IMO. Otherwise, the production quality, sound design, atmosphere, and melodies are really enjoyable here. Congratulations on your success in the NGUAC this year, LordAndiso! ^_^

I did not expect to get this close to the top :o I woke up to the results and bam my day got a lot better! I did not expect my mixing to be this good as I haven't had anybody really tell me that before. relistening my previous year's Nguac submissions I can really see the growth :)
Thank you so much, TaintedLogic :3
The under-watery 2:17 - 2:46 <3<3<3
Love the sound. Very playful and rhythmically fun. Lots of little flourish-y elements. Reminds me of something that'd be in a a lighthearted JRGP moment (FF9<3) or something.
I've love to hear this performed live. :O
1:49-1:56 that little bit-crushed touch! <3
Into what appears to be a guiro or someone opening a bag of "sound-snacks" only to tug too hard and, trip over themselves and hit the crash <3.
Sidesticks <3.
If I had to ding something in this it might be the general sound of the strings. I can get over that though as it brings me back to the carefree days of playing JRPG's with wonderful OST's using midi instrumentations a lot of the time. So I'm a bit less sensitive to that I guess.
I'd love to hear you explore this style more. Although your last round entry was also *chefskiss*.
Thank you so much :DDDDDDD
I love making this sorta stuff. I feel very free when making this. But yeah I am afraid of pirating stuff that's why I sacrificed the sound of the strings, I got no better alternative lol
I wish you a good day :)
