Ok, so I did this one in my spare time as a "gift" to my girlfriend, changing the lyrics a little bit.

I know some parts are off sync but it was the first time I actually mixed something up and I think it came up pretty good, and yes, that's me singing.

tought I might give it a shot, if this gets removed however, I have some original pieces I might post later

This song (Superstar) was originally done by the Carpenters then it was re-done by Sonic Youth, and then by me (as far as I know)

it kinda sounds like your just copying thurston moore's singing but the singing becomes kinda inconsistent during the chorus. and it sounded like you lost your rhythm a couple times.

JacklandStudios responds:

Yup, you're absolutely right.

That's why I specified it in the author comments from the get go :P

But thanks for the review, it's greatly appreciated :D

Great Vocals

I like the vocals in this mix. It does have a really sad quality to it though.

this should be in a horror movie

You know the part in horror movies, where the two lovers make love and experience it for the last time, and when the man gets taken away by the evil creepy dude who takes the boyfriend back to a bus and rips him apart on camera, well when he's gone, this is played when the girl is remembering his smell and is crying because she's all alone? (Basically, it woulda been cool in Rest Stop...btw that movie is scary as hell lol) Some parts of this song would make that scene really deep.

I'm not tryin to put it down by mentioning it should be in a horror movie, I'm just saying it's got a really sad beat to it.

JacklandStudios responds:

Are you kidding me? imagine this song in a horror movie?

That would be completely and totally awesome!

I don't think I've watched that 'Rest Stop' movie, but now I will look for it for sure ;)
I'm glad this tune made you imagine all that... or remember all that from the movie, to me it does mean that this song is at least cool :D

Nice mellow guitar part with the melancholy stuff going on in the background. Creepy voice, it could've used distortion though. The ending was kinda weird too.

JacklandStudios responds:

Yeah, I know about the distor but I didn't had a cable long enough to reach the guitar amp upstairs (and the amp is big and heavy, lol) but thanks a lot for the review :)
