It's time for some 80's aerobics action with some positive, adrenaline-pumping reinforcement! It's time to Get 2 It!
For those of you who have been wondering what MartaCon is, it's somewhat of an inside joke turned into a meme turned into a game and a streaming event honoring one of the coolest and charitable SEGA streamers, ThisIsMartaaa, whose been nominated for many awards and is known for their work with such charities as Special Effect and Direct Relief, whose money goes towards technology to help the differently abled. When the game's main developer, Hard Pretzel, approached me about the project, I was more than honored to partake. At the time I had no idea this was going to be used as the title theme. My thought process was to make a piece based off of what Marta's streams were about. I figured she's into fitness, and 80's rock, and thus the idea of going 80's aerobics was born.
Most of the inspiration for this piece came from a famous piece by Ty Parr used in a lot of aerobics videos in the 80's, but also from some WWE music. I figured that clapping throughout the whole piece would amplify that effect of the crowd cheering on the athletes. Something happy and upbeat was required more than any other mood, something that made you want to hit the gym and get swole. I also wanted to use clear-sounding synths and keyboard-style transitions, as most synthesizers were in those times. I tried to be unique with every verse while still keeping the attitude pumping to the max.

iirc, the program I use, Cakewalk Kinetic, is a 16-bit program. It certainly does have a lor of 16-bit sounding instruments and templates. Plus, the program itself is from 2004, so that wouldn't surprise me XD
