Melodically, it was pretty good, but harmonically, it was quite off. Watch your bassline, there are a bunch of minor 2nd intervals that don't fit. The drums were good, and everything else was as well, but the bass was off.
Also, the ending was very abrupt.
You could use some better samples, but a live recording of this would sound nice.
Make sure you read up on the rules for creating chord progressions as well.
Anyways, nice job, keep up the good work. ;)
I agree that the ending is too abrupt, and I realized this at 2 in the morning after I put this up. But in terms of the 'rules of chord progression' I don't particularly want to deal with those. Rules are limits and limits prevent sounds. Jazz did it. But then they made Jazz standard movements, and the standards bore me. If you take something normal, and change it to add an air of sophistication, you can still get your point across and have something that you can call 100% original. In terms of the bassline, the 2nds were on purpose. I really like the minor 2nd.
Music Review #971
Hehe... that is some sweet stuff! awomse tunes... but startin at 1:03, kinda weird with the background, doest really fits well, and trance might be the right genre, needs to be more dancy stylish... anyway, some cool stuff going on, next time try adding some acid, synts, pizza, or whatever background, trance sounding track...
Keep it up!
Started off pretty cool.
But the beat bout half way through I didn't like it much. Bit hip-popy?
Not really trance though.
I do like the other sounds and effects you used.
