Basically, this is Nayte the Hermit's king moment of self-awareness, and the eternal internal struggle of musicians, swinging between narcissism & self-loathing. Not to fuel this huge ego any more, but Nayte's songwriting and production reach a new peak in this EP on DESKPOP. You may have heard their feature on the compilation DESKPOP: Pink Version, in which Nayte contributes cute vocals to a track produced by Jellybear. Often it sounds like they duet themself when switching between well-crafted vocal filters, both hyping up and talking themself down. "EGOTISM I" is a fantastic debut EP and will be stuck in your head for ages.
