I really hated this boss, especially in Crystal Caves...............Not a bad remix, though.

Could be alot better...
You got it very right though, didn't sound messy or too repetitive at all. It gave me a shrinked Tiny Kong feeling. Even though some of the instruments hurts my ears a little, good work.
