Almost sounds it's from a Minecraft fantasy mod.
Flying through a neon wave in a psychedelic jungle, plasma eddies drift from my feathertips. Extravagant. Beautiful. Like feathers on my face. This is the song of my spirit. Based on an actual psychedelic experience I had.
Instruments: Duduk, pan flute, harp, oboe, santoor, tar, cello, viola, violin, guitar, taiko drums, angklungs, birds. FM8, Omnisphere, Composer Cloud, VSCO, Hans Zimmer Percussion.
This will be on my next album. Feel free to follow me if you wanna stay tuned for that!
As a side note, I'm going camping this weekend and will try to record the birds while I'm there. For some reason it seems like nobody on the internet knows how to record ambient birds without introducing a metric ****ton of white noise or wind into the recording. I don't know if I'll be able to EQ it out without getting rid of the birds...
And I need birds.
Edit: I managed to fix the birds!! Some of the instruments are in the wrong position now though... I'll have to fix it when I get back.
Almost sounds it's from a Minecraft fantasy mod.
This is killer. What equipment did you use for recording?
Thanks! Here's the list of my equipment:
Mic: Electro-Voice RE27
Headphones: Beyerdynamic DT 1990 Pro
Monitors: Alesis M1 Active Mk2
DAC's/Interfaces: Topping E30, JDS Labs Atom, Focusrite Scarlett Solo
Midi Keyboards: M-Audio Keystation 49es, Arturia Minilab mk II
Software: Ableton Live, Composer Cloud, EW Spaces II, Versilian Studios Chamber Orchestra, Omnisphere, Guitar Rig, Manipulator, Reference 4, Youlean Loudness Meter, iZotope Ozone/Neutron/RX8/Tonal Balance Control, ASIO Link Pro
Instruments: Didgeridoo, 16" Thunder Drum, Duduk
PC: 5950x, 1660 Super, CTR (Nvidia enables me to multithread Ableton, effectively allowing me to compose at 192k with this processor)
Not all of these were used in the recording of this specific song, but it is generally what I use. Because of interference issues and the fact that I didn't have a deadcat, I wasn't able to record the birds with my mic. I ended up fixing the noise problem with RX8, which has excellent noise removal functions.
The instruments go really well together. I’m not really fond of this type of music, as I’m not a person for relaxing music. But this certainly got my attention. It sounds like something you’d hear in an adventure-type game. I bet the birds were very hard to fix and get it just right. It was probably hard to record them too. But they fit in perfectly with the song.
Really nice song overall. Seems like you’re going all out this year. :)
I like it!
Best of luck recording the birds - it's a lot harder than it seems!
Thanks... Given the fact that I can't find such recordings, I'm probably going to need it lol
Please contact me if you would like to use this in a project. We can discuss the details.
