well if it adds to the mystery at all, the song was actually based on the first page of a comic book of mine. It was a black crow flying through the sky. This song sort of depicts what it would feel like to fly. But then I kind of lost that train of thought and did a bunch of other stuff too, but you get the idea.

Ah, the sexy drum samples :) Yes Reason has really good samples. I usually ruin them by adding too much compression or distortion, but this time I dont think I used either at all... I think this was a preset drumkit, which I dont use very often as well. I forget which one though... I'm at school right now but when I get home I'll try to remember to review some of your stuff. Hm... I never realized that it sounded generic. But now that you mention it I can sorta tell. You see, that's a problem of mine. After only a few hours of working on a song, I stop hearing it. It's difficult to explain, but thats what happens. I cant tell if it's good, bad, boring, generic, whatever. When I first start writing a song, I take mental note of whether I like it or not. I promise myself that I'll keep working on it no matter what, even if I hate it down the road.
