The chimes, guitar, saxophone... Everything is great! I've never heard anything quite like it. I'm definitely a fan of this saxy music! The only thing I would change is taking out the vocals at 2:33 to 3:37... Very enjoyable otherwise!
this should be given a 5 simply for the great sax and clarinet work, sounds awesome, the trk develops really well, everything compliments one another, I think this is quality music and is wasted on a site like this, the guitaring and flow from one sound/style to another is immaculate, the vocal/end cresc is simply brilliant and just makes me wonder if I could ever write anything as good.
This trk kept my interest all the way through, it interchanges from electro, to chill, to acoustic, to almost african style and, for want of a better description, 'your style'.
Honestly brilliant, why on gods green ass aren't you signed and releasing cds?
downloaded and of course 5'd.
well, glad you enjoyed it sir. This is the first proper track i've done since my computer died and had to work with a stripped back set-up, perhaps what you told me was right...
Am working on a sooped up version that i'll send your way when it's done but after reading this review maybe it's better left alone.
'...just makes me wonder if I could ever write anything as good.' hmm, somehow i think you already doos, i much prefer your stuff to mine but ain't that just the fuckin way she goes?
as for getting stuff released i intend to work a demo around this track and start looking for some1 to put it out.
anyways, thanks for the words of encouragement and the image of gods green ass.
Sexy Saxy !
Let's begin, then.
The beat, as always, is original, and complex as well. (Darn i wish my beats would be the same).
So, i said that the saxy was sexy (musically speaking, of course, don't get me wrong), although i think the first one is lacking volume. I think it be louder.
Then comes the sax solo, followed the other saxo. Then comes that guitar that really sounds like an old Mike Oldfield stuff (the recent isn't that good).
The voice is really sexy, too (i assume this is yours, sounds much like your vocal edit for Wintang's "Time to Bed").
After that voice part, i thought the part with the littles bells was really relaxing, i don't know how to explain it.
Then, at last, the bells and the guitar to finish the stuff. The ending bothers me a little, i shall admit. I think that either fading out the bells, either adding reverb on it would have benefited the ending.
Other thatn the tiny issues, i'm really glad to hear more of you. That was my pleasure, you drunk fucker !
Gotta vote 5 !
firstly, the salutation is drunk bastard if you please...
thanks for the words of advice matey, i've had a bunch of really useful reviews for this and i'm gonna do a finished version taking (most of) them into consideration.
always a peasure bin laden,
nothing wrong with is. only an idm junkie can appreciate weird intros, so theyres nothing wrong with the intro. youre one of the few people I know that have complete control over their tracks from start to finish. ive been listening this tune with passion
you have a good ear and your opinion is always appreciated.
Sounds like Manu Chao at parts
Definetely my fave track of you. I don't care what people say about the first 45 seconds, I like it.
Is most of this your own sampling? Man, you did sweet :O
awesome sax bits, really great, just perfect with layering and reverb and all.
I have to try to incorporate some sax into my work someday.
Can't believe how you got the time to fill the whole five minutes with sweetness, but you did it, and nothing got repetitive, just perfect!
And your signature AWESOME chord progressions do great here, really sweet :D
Who's doing the vocals? is it a sample? is it you? is it some friend of yours?
damn you deserve all my cookies
ta for the review, will have to check out manu chao. oh and also your stuff, haven't heard anything from u in moons.
if u want some sax or clarinet parts recorded for your stuff just drop me a line or if you just want some random sax samples to play around with let me noes.
the vocals is me, pretty random but it seemed appropriate.
GIEF ME DEM COOKiEEEEEEEEES!!!
