Dude, kickass stuff. It's kinda like Exhumed and Meshuggah in a blender.
I have one question though, do you have a drummer playing in this, because the snare and hats lead me to think it's a bog-standard drum recording, but the bassdrum?
I'll have to agree with Darkside, the vocals sound a little thin, but I can relate to the force problem.
Anyway, sick, sick metal. Try and get some more done :D
Thank you. We did build a little of this song on Meshuggah, as we listened to most of Chaosphere before writing.
We do have a drummer, but he uses an electric kit, so we get judged on recordings that we can't find a good drummer and have to use programmed recordings.
And again, blame the vocals on the production quality. We have managed to book another day's recording next weekend, so you'll be hearing another number from us.
WTF WAS THAT
Well, I wont be a complete asshole and instant 0 it, but I still think it was pretty bad. Yah, I love heavy Metal, But I like LYRICS too. that, instead of random grunts in screams, would probably make it pretty good. would like to hear a song like that from you guys.
Well you ain't getting it.
We sound no different whether we're using lyrics or not, it's just a waste of effort.
So no comment on the music, just the grunts?
Haha, I liked it man. Pretty nice grunts, though, they higher notes could be a little more powerful but it's all good. The drums were a little bit undergoing in the mix, mostly the kick. The guitar tone? Nice, heavy thrash/death sound.
Overall, a fine contribution to the Heavy Metal section! Welcome aboard sailor! \m/
I know, with the higher vocals stuff, when Paul did them they were brutal in isolation, but they lost a lot of kick and force in the mix. That's what we get for shelling £50 for a one-day cheap track recording.
Glad you liked it though.
