Wow very nice

Wow this one was very nice indeed, it will go in my faves right away what you can do with the "GUITAR" is pretty amazing and comes out very powerfull the vocals are not so bad not my taste of vocals but still something different, but overall a nice piece here.

~~THINGS TO IMPROVE ON~~
I wouldnt mind more of the guitar all the way thru like it was at start.

~X~

Great

Another remarkably good track. The guitar playing in this is fantastic stuff. I liked the milder guitar in the beginning more than the heavymetal that followed. Anyhow, keep up the good work!

Yeah man

Vocals were awesome on this. Too bad you had to cut some frequencies. What programs are you using for this? Perhaps I can help so you don't have to cut frequencies. At any rate, vocals were pretty awesome. Feel free to add me to msn messenger. bad-man-inc@hotmail.com.

Live2shred responds:

I'm actually using a Boss-BR600. I use a Shure SM57 for vocals going through a $65 ART mic pre. It gets the job done! The guitars are giong into the mic pre and then using the COSM effects on the boss. Same for the Roland V drums I use.

The reason I had to cut the frequencies is because I had already made 1 master track with all of the intruments mixed together, and on my headphones could hear them fine but the next morning I listened to it on my monitors and I couldnt hear the the vocals. Since it was just 1 master track, there was no way for me to adjust the vocal volume besides using the master EQ to make some cuts.

since i still have the instrumental version, Im gonna re-record the vocals, only this time I'll be sure to turn them up when mixing and NOT use my headphones like last time hahaha

Cool man, my msn is intothepit9@yahoo.com I'll message you sometime.

Hmm

Well the song itself is pretty good, but it sounds somewhat small. Your sound as a whole needs to be beefed up. Your drums could use some more punch and your guitars sound too dry. The sweeping you were doing was also too quiet I'd say. The vocals are actually recorded quite well. I'm guessing it was you? It's overall a nice performance, but it could use some more tweaking I think.

Live2shred responds:

Thanks for the advise! I actually had to cut down alot of the frequencies between 100hz and 350hz to make the vocals stand out, resulting in a lack of punchiness. The compressor I'm using is digital, so naturally it sounds thin (unfortunately).

I'm going to upload the instrumental version which sounds more full since vocals were not added. Be sure to check it out and see the difference! Again, thanks for the review!
