I vaguely remember what happened. A bang scares me awake. I was disoriented for a moment and remembered that I should still be falling into the abyss, but I didn’t feel any air resisting me. Quickly I try to change my rotation and I saw that I wasn’t falling, but floating.

My surroundings were still nothingness, yet my eyes were open this time. I saw a beam of light below me and I was heading into its direction. It engulfed me. It is hard to describe what happened after. I saw a grid, spanning all three axes. They were in perfect geometry. Always holding on, never breaking apart. But then everything went haywire. The grid collapsing, changing and displacing. It felt like reality bending right in front of my eyes. I got thrown into all directions. Always on the move, with no stopping. Suddenly, with full force I was thrown far away from this strange place.

I had one final recollection. It was Exeras, talking to the Professor. He always helped me in Situations like this; always trying to resolve a case. But as soon as he stopped talking, everything seemed to have returned to normality. I was on the floor, badly hurt. But from the corner of my eye, I see a familiar face again, having collected the enhancements that he needed.

Amazing. Love the spacey vibes. The story's pretty good too. One thing: the story isn't consistent in tense. It switches from present tense to past tense to present again, and then past once more.
