My dad saw this band live in a basement once before the fire
Track one off The Junkyard Boys' unreleased self-titled album, from 1968. Before the album was set to be released, a mysterious studio fire destroyed all but two of the master tapes, and in the process killed the entire band, who, ironically, were recording a cover of "Fire" by The Crazy World Of Arthur Brown. Despite this senseless tragedy, Several bootlegs have ensured that the legacy of The Junkyard Boys didn't die in vain. Today marks the first time these songs will be uploaded to the internet, introducing the rest of the world to the unique sound of these garage rock obscuros for the first time.
