Snazzy
Reminds me of stuff from Front242, Laibach etc. Excellent listen-ability and it's totally danceable. I give it three thumbs up (we live near a nuclear reactor).
This is some of the frame work for a series of industrial songs I'm working on with my partner Chris. This song actually was recorded in machine shop, so it's true industrial:
Chris Granz on Guitar
Shaun Hentchel (me) on Synths, drums, and effects
We're working on forming a band, but right now it's just us. Anyways comments and Criticism are welcome, so please review.

drill sound was very "weak" and cheesy
I understand the industrial feeling you were probably trying to achieve by adding in the annoying drill sound every few seconds, but I feel that alone ruined the whole song for me.
The drill sound was very "weak" and cheesy, it reminded me of being at the dentist or something. The clarity is also kind of low on the guitar. Maybe you should work on your levels as well.
Machine shop rock...8.5
The song has a cool rock groove that is catchy. The guitar sounds good and the synths and other effects are done well. I thought the mix was good too. The only issues would be the drums need to be stronger and the over-use of the drill. I like it, just not every few beats. Maybe add a bridge to change things up for a little more variety. But very cool...
Yeah will definitely cut down on the drill effect in the future, it was just that when we recorded this we spent a good hour or so playing with mic setups to get a good sample that once we did, I naturally thought it should run through out the whole song, and I guess during the editing process I got so used to it I just couldn't imagine the song without it. But yeah others have been saying the drill gets annoying too. So lesson learned don't overdue effects.
As for the bridge, I know what you mean, this wasn't written to be full song it was more like lets play around with our instruments and heavy machinery to get a cool industrial sound. Eventually we will be releasing full songs, I just posted this to criticism on what we had so far.
Anyways thank the review the criticism is appreciated.
Pretty awesome.
I love the guitar, all the synth stuff was really well done, and you have a pretty awesome feel to the entire track.
Only complaints: it gets a bit repetitive (especially vinyl scratch+ drill) which kinda sucks for such a short song. You really only change it up majorly at one point in the song. Same thing goes for the drums.
And yeah, the drill does get a bit annoying.
Anyways, this is a very cool track. Very cohesive. I'm torn between 8 and 9, so go ahead and consider this a high 8, if that sort of thing matters to you. Keep it up.
Well thanks for the feed, I do get the idea from other reviews that the effects were a bit over emphasised. As a side, the effect you were hear was not a vynal scratch, it's etching blade on a sheet of lucite (high dencity plexi-glass). As I said we actualy recorded this in a machine shop so thats were we got all the sound effects from.
Pretty cool.
The beat and guitar in this were awesome! But the drill sound got a little annoying after awhile. Still, this is great!
Yeah I think I'm gonna use the drill a bit less in future work, it does seem to get annoying after awhile. Thank for the review.
Please contact me if you would like to use this in a project. We can discuss the details.
