Haven't uploaded anything in newgrounds for 2 years. Decided now to upload stuff that I never got around to actually finishing (or make a breakthrough to finishing).

So instead I'll describe what my reasons for drawing it.

This one I drew when my cousin came and visit from out of state. She saw what I can draw and made a random request of drawing a lion. Though I never thought I would actually do it, sort of did it on a whim one day and came out looking pretty rush and crappy looking back on it. But inspiration was definitely the color RED. I came back after my marriage in Vietnam to America so I wanted the design to be inspired by Vietnam. I google image "Vietnam Lion" and ended up with festival dragons I think, look more like dragons then lion but I'll take what I get. Wanted to add more, and kept pushing it until I ended up with this. Kinda wanted to detail it more but that was all I could poop out during the time. Don't feel like touching it anymore though.

This looks masterful! A bit hazy, but notably incomplete - it could've been simply the style of drawing. I like the light, and how the characters both blend together. The lion's face in particular looks pretty inspiring! A creatively grim and beautiful duo.

Thanks CD, it was pretty ambitious of me to push it this far. Glad there some feelings on it that came across.

Yo Zane - it's a shame you didn't finish it, I'd say this is one of your best examples of colourized work!

Still, great story behind it, and if nothing else, a piece that tells a story is totally worth showing off.

ZaneZansorrow responds:

Thanks Linty, I definitely agree with that. Dunno how I can re replicate the colors from what I did here but I'm sure I'll figure it out one day

This looks awesome. That lion is so intense and your color really makes it look fierce.
