An illustration that I've been wanting to do, or redo since it's based on the drawing below from nearly 4 years ago.

I dreamed up Naiya in 2018, a year after starting work on Dreamworld.

I don't draw her often Because of the lack of dreams and having designed her a year after Eleena and Aurora, her story isn't as fleshed out. Lately, I've been gradually getting to a point where there's enough lore to move the story plot along. With that comes more drawings.

Naiya is a professional surfer and model who suffers from lucid, apocalyptic nightmares.

One specifically involved her family being massacred by dark beings that attacked the island after appearing from black clouds over the sea. I incorporated that into the piece, the window is a window into her mind; into the nightmare. You can see the extreme fear and devastation in Naiya's face as she awakens from the nightmare.

I wanted to capture that energy in an illustration that in a way that is immersive to the viewer.
