Following on from - and maybe helping Blue-SilverDragons point, the castle has too many towers, turrets and spires for it's architectural footprint, Perhaps add more effects and personality to the castle to distance it from the Mortal architecture it is based upon.
I like the light through the cloud and sky, There could be more doodads about but in the time and scale that's good . I wanted to suggest lights in the castle to increase it's presence (by say removing turrets) but actually I like the ambiguity of it being unlit...
This reminds me of books I've read, like Lord of the Rings. My critique is thus: the castle-like structure doesn't seem quite ominous enough to me, and there should be something more sinister, like an ill feeling, from the water. A little more roughness should be in the land, and perhaps a bit darker in places. The ambient lighting is nice, and the rays of sunlight give hope to the scene, and perhaps should be a bit brighter for the darker shades of the land in a few spots.
