“I do not know what will happen when we reach the light. I know that it will be a forward escape from history. A journey to a home we were always a part of, but too young to recognize. But the nature of that home cannot be expressed in words. Only known. Only felt.”
One of the heroines of Obliteration, aLucid Machine that descends into the city to witness its dramas unfold.
Jyoti battles like a dancer that destroys her enemies with waves of sound. Her dances are paradoxically beautiful, elegant displays of chaos, during which her cape flows around her like an extra, prehensile appendage. To move the cape, she pumps an iridescent liquid produced in her heart cavity into a network of pipes, which distribute it throughout the fabric. This allows her to harden it momentarily into various shapes. When she unfolds it out to her sides -- splaying it open like the wings of a moth -- thin speakers embedded within the cape blast visible waves of weaponized sound at her opponents. These waves resonate with and unravel the molecular bonds of her targets, pulling apart flesh, bone and muscle into glimmering particles that disperse in violent cascades of light.
Thank you for viewing. This is a very detailed design, ideally viewed at full scale.
