Sufferer

So I set out to do a 'villain' design, as I got a temporary mind boner over Voldemort in the Harry Potter films for some reason. You can't deny how well designeda villain he is, even if his origin lies in a kids book.
What I ended up with was not the sinister, hell spawn thing I had in mind but rather a comic book styley SUPER villain. Let's say that The Joker's about jokes and the Sufferer... well...

Yeah the name doesn't role off the tounge, I'd have no idea what he'd actually do or what his character would be like and not being a comic reader myself I can still approximate that maybe a character just like this has been done before (perhaps to the death.

But enough jargon, done in photoshop, over two days, probabely 10 hours of actual work, with a lot of additional fussiness that actually didn't result in a better image. Over all this was a practice of textures and for now I wanted to leave it at this level of detail. I have learnt the importance of using specialised brushes though- before I was mostly using the default one and the most basic charcoal style one. Here I used a whole variety of weird brushes for those (disputably) leather effects.

I do think this is my best PRESENTED digital work yet, consider the relative shortness it took for me to do. If you're bother my the lack of ears though that was an aesthetic choice, I think have the ears presumably covered by the latexy-meat thing layer creates a nice effect of supression and pain.

If you actually read this well done. If not, well, you didn't get congratulated, did you?

fantastic

Right away, I feel the pain and suffering.
This is a beautiful piece. The colors are awesome; the green and purple I like alot. Even the tears look like they cause him pain...they look like crazy glue tears seeping making his eyes burn.
Keep up the great work!

Thank you very much! You seem to feel the pain more than I did making it, I thought it was slightly underwhelming! :D thank you again!
