The Rascal King

Share

I hate my own art so much.

Anyway, more characters. This asshole is a dead guy called The Rascal King. Plays pranks on people and tricks them for his own gain.

Considering all the lines are the same thickness I'd assume you are drawing with a mouse, and the micro (yet natural) vibrations of the lines tell me you are not using vector (or line) tools. Between your reply to my thread and the description of this piece, I can tell you why you don't like your art. Your character designs are appealing but I can tell you dont feel comfortable with the tools you are using which makes the experience (or at least the result) of drawing not fun. If you agree with what I said up till now, then here is what I recommend. Draw on paper, scan the image or take a picture of it THEN import it into your digital software and use Vector (or line tools) with your mouse. The lines will look a lot cleaner and the process, and end result, should be more enjoyable. If you are using Clip Studio look up tutorials for vectors. You can change the width of vector lines to give your work a more dynamic look. A piece of advice that I learned the hard way: if you aren't enjoying the process, stop and learn of tools that will help you. A sculpture wont have fun trying to carve into their material with a rubber ball, so to will you not have fun without using the proper tools. You can make amazing art with a mouse, just make sure you are aware of all the tools your software has to make it less painful.

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE INFORMATION!

I do draw with a tablet, but its hard to get used to. I gotta draw on paper more anyway.
Another thing is, I do change the lines but I need to work on them more. Thank you so much~!
Any other things you might have, you can tell/ask me later.
