Author Comments

I made this while messing around in a universal sandbox thread on It came out better than I thought it would.
EDIT: I smoothed out the edge of the planet and the gas clouds.
please comment, I don't care if you think it's bad, just tell me why if that's the case.
EDIT 2: I made the gas clouds not suck and made some stars more dim and colorful.
EDIT 3: I made the top right corner darker and smoother.

Rated 4 / 5 stars

Some nice work here, I like the atmospheric glow you put around the planet. The yellow ring of clouds looks just a tiny bit out of sync with the equator, if you raise it a little it might look more equatorial. Now for the stars, it's a pretty good arrangement overall. I reckon they should be more uniform in colour - you've got a few purple and red ones that seem a little out of place. But the stark whiteness of the rest of them is a bit piercing and distracting from the planet. You could try making them a little dimmer. Maybe zoom in and add a bunch of tiny groups of stars like mini galaxies.
Anyway good work! I'll go check out your other arts!

yeah, you're right about the stars, I'll fix this later maybe. If I ever get the time.
