Little Faith

Author Comments

Genocide has been declared upon the Phrygians by the mad and violent Dorian King, whose son, the prince, was captured and executed in the night by a group of Phrygians with connections to the cruel and calculating Phrygian King. It is only days before war falls upon the two kingdoms...

Then there are two orphans, Chip (R) and Holland (L), a young Dorian and a young Phrygian removed from the youthless world. They are on a lonely journey to take revenge upon a fabled black dragon from a fairy tale lost in time.

Meanwhile, a saintly king from a bygone kingdom watches the two heroes on their journey. He awaits their arrival into his kingdom and at last the end of the fairytale.

I have long obsessed over The National's "Little Faith".

One day in 2010, I gave the National a long listen around the time of the release of their then newest album, "High Violet". I was 16 and just discovering music outside oldies and radio pop. I was discovering modern classics. After multiple listens, I became gradually obsessed with this song in particular, apropos of nothing.
