According to Zurvanism, Zurvan (The Cosmos, Time and Space) wanted a son. To do this he sacrificed an animal.
However, Zurvan was doubting wether this would work.
Out Zurvan's will to create life came forth Ahura Mazda, the supreme Zoroastrian deity of the truth and of good. Out of Zurvan's doubt came forth Angra Mainyu, Zoroastrian deity of lies and of evil.
