Pontes the Bureaucrat

Share

Pontes the Bureaucrat, or Pontes the Paperworker. By making an unfathomable profusion of appointments centuries in advance, he rendered his death bureaucratically impossible, and any attempts on his life were as such made meaningless, even in the event of their success. He amassed a ludicrous degree of wealth, more than typically expected of his species*, and lived for several millenia, far more than typically, or atypically, expected of his species*, traversing the space and time between appointments on his trusty wheeldesk, allowing him to make even more life-saving appointments along the way. Unfortunately for him, when Death found out about this loophole, Pontes found in his schedule a meeting that he did not remember writing down, with a Mr. Moe, who turned out to just be Death wearing a fake moustache.

*The species has no legally defined name. When first discovered, they were given a name, but when slave labour was criminalised their collective name, and the legal recognition of their existence, was erased from any officially recognised documents, allowing slavers to continue and officially dub their labour as "Act of god."

I love the character design! If the background was spruced up a bit, this would be insane 🤯

Urichov responds:

Thanks. And yeah, the background's a bit basic. I wanted to keep things simple this time around.
