this is fucking cool
Fourth and final artist on my list for now: @MatthewLopz
This drawing might well have taken me as much time as the last three combined, solely because of my decision to engage in intense perspective tomfoolery. As soon as I decided the arm would reach so close to the camera and started making that happen I realized this was going to be no small undertaking. And it wasn't.
Anyway, on the topic of MatthewLopz: I think I followed him in late 2018, though it might've been early 2019. Whenever the fellas who decide what art gets on the front page decided that his art should get on the front page, basically. I think of the four artists I've done for this he's probably the least technically refined, which is not, obviously, to say that his art is bad, otherwise I wouldn't have spent the past two weeks creating art to show my appreciation of him. He's got a unique style that gives off warm chill vibes and is worth checking out.
So, the character, Billie. As opposed to the last three, this is almost definitely the character he's drawn the most, and if any of the drawings linked here turn out to not be her that will be embarrassing but basically I had a lot to work with this time around, which seems to have failed to make things any easier, though adding tiny cats n stuff in windows and making the process last even longer was entirely my fault.
I'm still not entirely happy with the perspective on her back leg but I've decided that at this point I don't care enough to fix it because it looks just about good enough and two weeks is enough effort.
