Yes, it was an inside joke years ago but at this point the A.H.O./Hexagon Lore has expanded so much and now has different timelines. This timeline the game is based on is the Original/Derp timeline whilst we also have a serious one that's not just silly jokes and whatnot. Hopefully that clears things up a bit.
