Dr. Strangelove is one of my all-time favorite movies featuring one of my all-time favorite actors (Peter Sellers) and it was directed by one of my all-time favorite directors (Stanley Kubrick). What was originally intended to be a dramatic thriller film based on the fear of survival during the Cold War turned into what is probably the greatest political satire of the 20th century. The whole cast was amazing, but Peter Sellers put in the hours and showed his passion for his craft by disappearing into three different characters in the movie, one of which was Dr. Strangelove, and he was barely recognizable in each role. I always imagined Dr. Strangelove as a cartoon character. His wacky and eccentric personality would translate well into a wacky and eccentric and totally disproportionate cartoon character.
