Puppet Show: Cutcher

Share

I've done many more additions to my Puppet Army >:) This lil guy's called Clutcher. Because he likes to collect car clutches, or something.
However this is the first one I've done using my new tablet, and so is therefore my first EVER digital submission. I hope people actually get to see this one and comment on it. It'll be interesting to hear your opinions.
This is my style of art for the most part. I like things being really rough and sketchy. It's not UNfinished. It's just my frickin' style!
I can, and will do other styles of art, but I like pictures that only take an hour or so to finish. Pictures that take days to do aren't my thing. I always forget what I was wanting to do initially, then it all goes wrong, I have a breakdown, and scrap it.

As for the lyrics written up there. They just popped into my head and seemed somewhat fitting. Despite being the Eagles - the lyrics seemed to have a darker quality in light of the drawing. Nothing better than funking up some nice lyrics. If you wonder why I do this lyric writing thing, I can't say why exactly I do it. It's just a rule of the Puppets. If a song pops into my head and it suits the picture, then I have to write down some lines. Simple as that. But it only applies to the Puppets.
There we go. I'm gonna stop rambling and go now.

Enjoy

Pretty cool. I like the sketchy style, it kinda reminds me of how I draw, (on paper). However I cannot create this effect on the computer since I don't have a tablet. So I guess I'm stuck with drawing big bold lines with my spastic hands on my mouse. Anyhow, great drawing. I'm just wondering how your animation style will look!

Trollfriend responds:

Hah! Thanks man! My first review EVER! Woo! :D I'm glad you like it.
You should totally get a tablet, it saves so much time and once you get used to them, they're so easy and fun to use. I have a Wacom Bamboo, medium size. But if that costs too much, go for a Bamboo fun small. I dunno where you live, but they're like £80 (~$120) for a new one or you can get one second hand and in almost new condition for £35 (~$55). I honestly couldn't recommend it more! Also the software programme I used for this was FireAlpaca, and it's a FREE download! Booya!
I think this style is probably too hard to use for animation, it's a whole lotta scribbling, and would take forever. But yeah, I'm gonna use your suggestion on the other post and use frame by frame for sure! :)
Thanks again for the review, dudio! :D
