The Sound of Dancing Flames

Share

After seeing Rhunyc's sketch for the Audio Deathmatch this year, I decided to do this. I don't know why, but I didn't see many representations of female characters (or female composers for that matter!), and so I took to doing Tankgirl destroying everyone with the power of sound. I decided to break from the tradition of depicting Tankman every time.

I guess to be fair, Nene did appear in one previous Audio Deathmatch poster.

Drawn with a pen on A4 paper; coloured with Autodesk Sketchbook. Total time taken was two days, and I thoroughly enjoyed the process. This is something I rarely say for digital works.

Really cool stuff! Didn't even think to try a female tankman, but it looks like you did a pretty good job on it!

If I'm asked to do more for it, I'll do a female tankman next time. :)

this is really great!

Thanks, meep! ^_^

Lighting, shading, line art, color choices... everything comes together to make a fine piece of art. Just one glance and I already feel like this is a scene that I am really witnessing, and not just a still image. Awesome.

This is beautifully colored! You really spent a lot of time on it. I love it!~

Troisnyx responds:

Glad you like it so much, meep! ^_^
