the bleeding lily

Image I drew within the last hour (while fighting through Covid symptoms) for my team's entry for the currently ongoing, winter-themed, VN Jam. Breaking from tradition this time, the whole thing was done on Autodesk Sketchbook, from start to finish.
That flower was conceived by one of the members of my team, Pneuma, who called it the "Bleeding Lily." Aside from the stereotypical lily / poinsettia shape that this has taken on, the concept reminds me a little bit of higanbana, or Lycoris radiata, because of its associations with blood, death, martyrdom, and the Sanzu river.
