Six Fanart Challenge ~ Troisnyx ver.

Share

Ahead of the release of my rendition of the Carol of the Drum, I began drawing this as a means of relaxing myself. I took to PowerPoint and streamed my drawing process on the Game Dev London Discord server. The characters were recommended by two users on there: JDWasabi and PhoeTheGreat. They knew that I was mostly familiar with the PlayStation 2 era and so asked me to go with Jak & Daxter, Kingdom Hearts, Super Mario Galaxy, Ni no Kuni, and two obscure fandoms of my choice.

For the last two, I went with Evergrace II -- a guilty pleasure of mine, as it is poorly done in general -- and Ar tonelico, whose music has deeply influenced me over the years.

I started laying down the flat colours on Autodesk Sketchbook a few days before the release of the Carol of the Drum, and then sat down to do shading and backgrounds only today. I'm actually quite pleased with how it turned out.

The characters are, from left to right and top to bottom --

  1. Jak & Daxter
  2. Riku from Kingdom Hearts
  3. Oliver from Ni no Kuni
  4. Rosalina and Luma from Super Mario Galaxy
  5. Faeana / Fillna from Evergrace II, otherwise known outside of Japan as Forever Kingdom
  6. Tyria / Tilia from Ar tonelico 3, otherwise known outside of Japan as Ar tonelico Qoga
