Hey! To start this decade right, we believe Newgrounds should be ad-free for EVERYONE. For this to work, we need people who have the means to become paying supporters. For just $3 per month or $25 for the year, you can help this happen and get some nice perks!

For the month of February we have disabled ads on all E-M content. We need 224 people to reach our goal of 3,100 active supporters. If we hit that, we'll continue with a new goal in March!

NGADM '19 ~ Time to Recoup

First-place poster for @VocalOutburst, also drawn on a combination of Autodesk Sketchbook and MS PowerPoint. When VocalOutburst's submission for the finals of this year's NGADM was first released, there wasn't much of a description behind the title, Time to Recoup, so I based this picture on what it made me feel.

My beloved and I visited the Blackpool Illuminations this year while they were still on, and I drew heavy influence from it. When first listening to this piece, I imagined myself transported to the Blackpool Illuminations again... just much, MUCH cooler and with light-up kites and wind socks. It was a trip through various colours and musical styles which ended on the highest note possible; I felt a deep warmth within my soul as the piece entered its final phase before then fading out.

Now, looking at the expanded description, perhaps it mightn't be too far off from what I drew. The figure in this picture is my paltry attempt at drawing VO himself, walking in awe and having moments of his own through this amazing sea of lights and movement. In most cases, it is noise; in this case, however, it is a source of inspiration and awe.
