μετάνοια / metanoia

Drew this for what I intend to basically make into my own T-shirt. I had designed tees for my band, The Just Numbers, and after ordering three of those, I got a voucher for a free tee. I'm going to make this tee design my own. Those of you on my Discord server might also notice that it is my server's icon now.

It has the depiction of me from my website (alternatively, my Reyvateil persona, Tetria Drihim Synx, whichever way you look at it), with my trademark medieval drum, the triquetra, a whole lot of knotwork, and a dove surrounding me with fire. The dove and the fire are some of the more common depictions of the Holy Spirit in Christianity, while the triquetra could also be a symbol of the Holy Trinity.

I started this on Pentecost Sunday. The ancient Greek word, 'metanoia,' means repentance, spiritual conversion, a fundamental change of mind, which is something I am striving towards every day but feel I am in need of that same Spirit to ultimately help me.

Special thanks to Kitee Wonders on Discord for coming up with the bare bones of the idea, and to SuperBastard, TheDyingSun, KiloTango and ForgottenDawn for giving me tips and advice.

I don't know if you have, but thank you ;A;

Counting down till this gets front-paged ;)

I think after two FPs in a row, I doubt it will be... Thanks for the vote of confidence though!

Nice effect! I would say though that the symbol on the bottom right looks a bit shaky - I'd smooth that out a bit like the symbol above it is for consistency - but overall nice self portrait! ;)
