This looks so cool! So much better than anything I can draw.
Until about two weeks ago I was working on this drawing on PowerPoint exclusively, from structure to drawing to colouring to light and shadow. I stopped when I got extremely depressed and I don't think I'm in a position to finish it anymore, or add anything to it.
The costume, by the way, looks like this:
I designed this, dreaming of wearing something like this when playing drums in a future performance.
This looks so cool! So much better than anything I can draw.
Now stop that mindset there for just a second!
And go and look at my bug-eyed people from 2011 / 2012.
I'm not anywhere near featured level but anyone who sees my stuff from start to end will see the journey I made and the immense improvement I made.
My point is, you can do it too. NEVER malign yourself by saying "so much better than anything I can draw" because if you want to do it, you gotta start somewhere. And it might appear shit, but one day, *you* will appreciate your own work, and others who look at it will, and that's when you know you've crossed a threshold and improved. It'll take time, it'll take patience, it'll take a lot of swearing, depression, pulling your own hair out, but if you're determined to try, you can do it.
