[AOZTG concept] Purester, Upperclass

So, not too long ago there have been a couple announcements on the part of @ZackTheGreat and myself on Twitter, that I've joined a dev team for a role-playing game currently in development, called Adventures of Zack the Great. As a nonprofit contributor, giving music and concept artwork.

And on the subject of concept artwork, I'd been tasked with coming up with the various different kinds of people in the world of AOZTG might look like. Here's one of them -- a prim and proper gravity mage, a Purester.

Zack informed me that the whole thing about the Puresters is that their people is all about balance. However, they are mechanical in implementing that balance. So mechanical, in fact, that their country becomes a dystopia, where there is zero social mobility in the name of preserving the balance. Upperclassmen, like the one I drew above, get to live their true selves, while people on the fringes are made to stay in the fringes "because they have to." There is no concept of pulling oneself by the bootstraps.

So their land is tiered -- above, and on the surface, you have upper class people like the above, all looking absolutely beautiful and thriving. Then you have the midtown, which is alright. Then you have the slums, the back alleys, all on the bottom tier, reeking of filth and locked far below the other two tiers of this place. So take a good look at that beauty... and perhaps know that said beauty is only skin-deep.

What can I say? I'm biased! I love your summary, it really rekindles a reverence for a world that has only existed as an idea for so long.
