Was just having a bit of fun today messing around with different contrasting colours and lighting and before I knew it ended up with a picture of Hellboy

thanks for the response of the software and the pink thing and i am the (please reply) guy but with a new account . Another thing do you use grey scale and then apply colors with blending modes i am asking because i usually mess up I use KRITA for most of my work .

TristanTait responds:

Not a problem at all :) And yeah i usually start in grey scale before overlaying it with the red layer I mentioned before. Then I just create another layer on top of that to add all of the rest of the colour in normally and work the details in.
I've never used Krita, so I'm not too sure how it all works. I've heard it's pretty good though.

Wow beautiful work

Wow I have to say this was just amazing work you have here, love the deep red texture and the deep details within the face you are very taleneted the border like frames could have some more design to them, it has an interesting look and there was some decent detail to it, there are things that could make it even better but thats for later. So my Overview of this piece is that its a dang good piece

the border like frames could have some more design to them,

TristanTait responds:

Thanks, glad you're liking it :) The background was a stylistic choice to not draw too much attention away from the main feature, as this is just a simple portrait and not a full illustration

which do you software (please reply) . and almost all of your art have a pink blended in them which looks so plesant

TristanTait responds:

It's all drawn straight into Photoshop CC. I use a cintiq 13HD and one of the default brushes for pretty much the entire thing, so nothing too fancy. And that's cool you noticed the pink :D I usually lay down a red layer underneath everything and draw up on that so it comes through and gives it a bit of a warmer, fleshy kind of feel as I build the colours on top

Very nice, always liked Hellboy, that just looks amazing, would like to see a full body version :3

TristanTait responds:

Thanks:D Yeah Hellboy is an awesome character, I'm interested to see how this new movie turns out. Maybe one day when i get some more time I'll do another up with a body

very nice!

TristanTait responds:

Thanks! :D
