EDit: I wanted to add some thanks to the admins who featured my work on the front page and all who have written reviews. And also Jacksloftrades, http://jackaloftrades.new grounds.com/ he give me some critiques while I was working on it at campus.

Ok, this has been a piece I've been working on in between assignments for my college classes. I'm not sure why I choose to draw Spyro. But at any rate it has been fun and nostalgic. I used to play and love the Spyro games when I was a young girl, and I still love the character.

On another note, I tried to combine Spyro classic design and the newest design from dawn of the dragon and then draw him in my style with out loosing any thing makes Spyro, Spyro. For the most part I think I succeeded, enjoy ^_^ !!!!

Drawn in and painted in photoshop cs4, and a wacom indous 3. Not quite sure how long it took me, but whatever.

Plz, don't use without permission.

I haven't even looked at your other artwork yet, and I can tell you're my new favourite NG artist. Your work is so inspiring!
You've given him an interesting realistic spin - something you don't see often in his fan art. Very refreshing.

If I could say one constructive thing about this picture, I'd probably have to comment on Spyro's front feet. The foot closest to the viewer seems slightly distorted, maybe even too small, but it's not nearly distracting enough to take away from the overall aesthetic value of the piece. I'd still give this a 10 beyond a shadow of a doubt.

The scenery alone is outstanding; even without spyro.

Spyro is well drawn and detailed; I think I'm one of the few who actually likes the translucent effect of the wings.

The only downside to this drawing is where Spyro's claws touch the grass. Normally there would some distinction of weight behind them; pushing the grass down where appropriate. As it is right now it almost seems like Spryo is hovering above the grass or was thrown in after the background was made or vice versa.

Overall it is a great piece of artwork with a minor issue.

Great work.

The color scheme blends flawlessly, it seems. The only thing you could have possibly done better would be to detail some of the grass so that it doesn't look like it's completely flat where Spyro is standing. But besides that it's an incredibly impressive work all around.

more than awsome! kinda looks like a bigger, older spyro, and ive always wondered what that would look like, so i love it even more. you have great artistic talent and i wish that i could draw a quarter of how good you draw, so keep up the great work! :)

Spyro :D

Loved it! I like the details that you did in Spyro's mouth ;D
