Just testing something with Emily, to see if I should add lines to her fur patterns or not.
So yeah, I can't say much about the development of Gasoline Run but I did have this funny experience just this week. I was looking into various sources of inspirations on Pinterest like post apocalypse, cars and dieselpunk. Then suddenly I recalled this old arcade flight simulator game for the PC called "Crimson Skies" and started to look into it.
Basically, the game was a tabletop board game that was developed in 1998 by Jordan Weisman, the guy who developed other popular paper RPGs like "Shadowrun" and "Mechwarrior" before it became a PC game two years later and then a sequel for the original Xbox about three years later.
I have never played the games myself but I am a huge admirer of the awesome designs for the planes and a sucker for the whole setting that my dumb brain started to forcefully merge the idea of aerial planes instead of cars. But then it would mean that I would have to rewrite the whole storyline I had in mind, so it got scrapped. Just funny and frustrating how my brain works at times...
