@Valbun made a news post a while back asking people to draw art of their OC, Valbud. I took one look at her design, especially those square spiral curls, and thought “Super Paper Mario character”, so I decided that I was going to try it!

This artwork is was made in two programs. Since Procreate has no means to ensure that lines are perfectly horizontal or vertical, I did all the line art in Affinity Designer and exported it as an image, before coloring and shading in Procreate Pocket. It took much longer than I expected - I suppose it’s a product of applying a complex process to a simple design - but I’m really happy with how it came out!

And here she is with my old signature instead of the experimental new one:
