Hey! To start this decade right, we believe Newgrounds should be ad-free for EVERYONE. For this to work, we need people who have the means to become paying supporters. For just $3 per month or $25 for the year, you can help this happen and get some nice perks!

For the month of April we have disabled ads on all E-M content. We need 62 people to reach our goal of 3,000 active supporters. If we hit that, we'll continue with a new goal in May!

A Dismal Encounter

Since your encounter with The Sage, you now use your newfound abilities and knowledge to traverse the once unfamiliar grounds of the eldritch waste. Now the twisted runes, etched on the walls of the enormous monoliths and buildings finally unravel to you the story of the beings that once ruled this land. But before you could learn more,a ghastly figure slowly hobbles towards your position. You soon see that this is another adventurer, lost in the same inter dimensional hell that you have stumbled on.

You use your newfound insight to peer deep into the soul of this knight and reveal that he seem to have lost every shred of humanity, and as a result has become a walking husk that wants nothing more, than to kill and consume. You conclude that there is nothing you can do to save this warrior, except a swift death

A Consumed Soul blocks your path....

A very imposing presence.
I agree that it has a Pyramid head vibe to it, but it's more subtle.
I am impressed by the fact that the figure is almost entirely composed of Triangles, leading to compounding series of sharp angles and edges.
The only thing to counter this seems to be the Miasmic mist trolling forth from the hood and the very setting objects to it, slowly threshing it away.
Thank you for making this.

Pyramid head's energy(?

Liking this ongoing narrative you have. I feel like Earthbound/Mother music fits both of these encounters. Do you have a name in mind for this series?
