Another assignment for an art class. The idea was to make a painting using 2 complimentary colors. I decided to go with yellow and purple. The figure was originally going to be based on a creepy picture I saw floating around Tumblr but I decided to go another route and paint what I saw in a recent nightmare.
Used acrylic paint, done on acrylic paper.
Indeed we can feel that this creature comes out straight from a nightmare! I like this painting :)

are the "x" and "y" in the eyes for x and y chromosomes, or am I taking this probably too literally?

Oh my I didn't even notice the Y on the right! It's supposed to be an X since the person had no eyes in the nightmare. I think you're taking it a wee bit literal but hell it's your interpretation!
