Fights can be really nasty, and people want to try and one-up each other and hurt the other party. Most of the time either side tries their best to make the other feel the hurt they experienced. Ultimatums are one of the worst things you can do to each other, and tearing into each other in front of a third party is tasteless, but we end up doing that to each other at one point or another. Fighting can help get any negative feelings out and lead to better communication, but do it alone. 50% of the time the third party doesn't really care and enjoys the show. There are anomalies, but ti's more personal to solve things one on one.
