Azali's Bug Hunt

So, I guess this counts as a 2022 picture?

Well, I finished it in 2022, so it counts.

Anyway, here is my Alien girl, Azali Starline again, but this time I wanted to draw her in an action pose.

Stuff like this is kind of what I'd like to try and do a little more frequently this year.

Not every picture I draw will look like this, but I'll see if I can do them, maybe once every 2 months, perhaps.

For this picture, I was looking through some Metroid references and found a great piece of Samus doing a Melee Counter.

I was feeling confident, so I decided to use this for Azali as well, she was kinda of created for stuff like this.

I think I might have positioned her slightly higher than I'd like, but this was a 2nd attempt and I didn't want to waste my paper, so I settled.

Not that is mattered too much, as making the background was one of the more time-consuming processes.

Hopefully, it looks "Alien" like with its more odd warmer colors of orange and deeper pinks.

This tool about two weeks to finish, but it's nice to know that this project turned out a little better than I hoped.

Plus, Azali's proportions look very close to her 1st initial picture.

Azali's Notes:

Boy, it's been a decent while since I ended up on a dusty wasteland of a planet.

But, it was necessary, planets like this are prefect breeding grounds for trouble.

I got a distress signal from my ship's A.I. telling me that a nearby Space Pirate space had crashed on this planet.

Apparently, some Galactic Alliance ship was tracking them down and shot them down.

They would have followed them down to the planet surface, but at the time, there was a powerful sandstorm going on.

I guess the squad figured the storm would have killed the Pirates, and lucky for them, it did.

Unfortunately, however, the crew was unaware of the dangerous cargo on board.

Recently, the Space Pirates have been experimenting with bioengineering by using native species and making them more aggressive.

This time they kidnapped some Screech Rays from Taven-7.

Normally, these things aren't too scary to deal with, as they won't attack anything bigger than itself.

But these guys have grossly over-sized fangs and will try and kill whatever they see.

The locals have been getting attacked, and eventually killed, as these monsters have been reproducing rapidly.

And with no natural predators on this planet, they reign unchecked.

I wasn't too thrilled having to kill off these things on jagged, crumbly cliffs, but this is where they made their nest, so I had no choice.

Using myself as bait worked nicely, and it's not like they would be of any harm to me if they attack.

That is, unless one of those poor bastard wanted to latch on to me and get jolted with 14 trillion volts of electricity.

I must have killed close to nearly 400 of them in only 2 hours, and luckily that was all of them.

Still a little scary that they reproduced that much in only 3 weeks with 4 specimens.
