Love it

Simply love it.
Except a few things that is. The ripple thing is too flat and the water is for some reason curving up?
Oh, and the background texture is almost unnoticeable. It's so slight that it gives more of an annoyance rather than an effect, so turn the contrast up a tad there.
Either way it's a great concept, and I love how you've used details in some places and simplified elsewhere!

Really nice drawing, Great simplicity, but detail where needed. The face is great, turban looks a bit flat though, nice work on the hands too. Not sure if I like the moon, I think it might have been better without it, or if it had merged in with the background a bit more perhaps. I like the background, simple but effective.
I dont like how you made the water curve up, it makes it look less like water, especially since the ripples are flat..

For a last minute change. That flowing of elements is pretty brilliant. Perfect way to round out the otherworldly feel. That moon really ties it all together.

Personally i find your entry really awesome, it is simple and leaves some to the imagination of the one who looks at it. I also love the slight small circle, which kinda indicates that is water or perhaps it could be a hole in an ice and he is in the north pole, as i said leaves some imagination to the that looks at it. I also love he detailed this is. Awesome job keep up the good work.

.. I prefer the black and white! No matter the colour, I think it's very easy to tell it's water, with the ripples and that your figure is fishing.

The best bit is it's simplicity, where the water moulds into the shape of the fisherman (quite symbolic, really), and the only evidence for the shape of the fisherman are these bumps for the kness, and the position of the head and hands.

The head's great. 'Nuff said.

Worst bit? ... Nothing, to be honest. It's close to perfect, since it does the job well. The moon's unncessary, but everything else is very well done, and created with the right level attention.
