Made in an intimate moment of loving self-awareness.

First person to cry "proportions" loses all legitimacy.

test-object responds:

That white hand is really striking, I love it! And the pink-blue palette works really well. The angle is really interesting, but I was wondering why you'd favour drawing bold blue pants instead of a groin shot? I like the sound of gumby's comment about your use of brushes, btw.

test-object responds:

Too much pink, needed a "central" point. Would've been too brute for this picture too.
The brush thing is super valid.

If this is implying what I think it's implying then that's quite naughty.

test-object responds:

I know what you're thinking :D

Cool stuff!

The pattern in the background is definitely creating a very strong sense of direction in the image. The contrast in the pattern is higher towards the bottom left compared to the more washed-out top-left part. I think maybe more contrast in the pattern around the head would emphasize the head more although I spectulate they're set up that way to bring focus to the crotch!

The round brush you're using has a very digital feel - have you considered using brushes with rougher edges?

Either way very cool - cubistic feel

test-object responds:

It tends to be hard keeping clean house in Photoshop's brush UI, but yeah, I should use rougher material. I'm so used to it coming automatically when painting irl :X

Hard to review something so heavily stilised, but I can say that I like the colors you used. Especially how the floor has more saturated colors than the skin. Nice job drawing the attention to the face with the detail and contrast. I don't like the all white arm and even though I am not supposed to cry about you-know-what, the fingers on the other hand are a bit toooo long.

I haven't figured out a deeper meaning, if there is even one, but I simply like what I see. I think it would look even better if the lines weren't as sketchy, but that's just my taste.

Nice job.

P.S.: Proportions!

test-object responds:

You lost to the one rule. How does that make you feel, Luw?
