The body splits from this great foe head. It sees it's end. But this demented being won't let anyone else decide his end. It shall instead devour itself, for it's body belongs to no one else. So by it's own jaws, it's eye burst forth from it's skull as it's teeth rapidly snap upon it's own chest. It tears right though the rest of itself leaving only the last vestiges of it's being for a split second. Then it finally closes the jaw upon it's own eye and fades to nothing.

An intensely self destructive process assures nothing is left behind. Only the dispersed energies left to the winds to claim as it's soul enters the cycle of reincarnation.

I wanted to really sell the concept of that primal nature of the being by essentially pulling an Uroboros upon it. That it eats everything it can, even itself when the time comes. Making it sort of a fitting end to beast to destroy itself entirely.

And I think I got the concept strong, though I think this death animation still needs clean up. And refinement. To sell the impact of it and make the concept more clear. While making it more fittingly "inky" in a way for the body (to make it seem more like a Youkai like it usually is)

I'll figure that out next time. Also that little bit of lore with the dispersed energies is actually tied to how a Golden Flame is formed. Think of it as a collection, thousands of years of left over energy that formed into a strong sustaining power.

And that power can be used great effect, such as raising Primal Youkai into beings who are able to live reasonable lives with only basic food.

(Since usually only ancient Youkai in this case can ever reach proper mental clarity through enough energy)

It does require souls to fall apart to happen though, so if a spirit is particularly wrathful or violent they won't dissipate under normal means and won't become apart of a Golden Flame. It's fun to make simple but strong lore like this.

This was the prior experiment to make a death for the wolf. It has flow but it really didn't hit that concept of it "eating itself" as strongly as I would of wanted. So instead I tried again and got the final result.
