So, this is "Final Mokou", essentially Mokou after drinking the Elixir. (She changes costume in this one because well, it's a fucking game jam. If things were thought out better, that probably wouldn't be the case)
I really enjoyed what I did with her design though, it's a really solid stylised interpretation to pixel art form. However I feel I could of refined it a tad more, but with the time crunch I can forgive myself on that note.
First animation above is her punching animation, it's one of the better ones animation wise, got a good feel of impact though I think the anticipation should of been longer and perhaps the actual attack itself be slightly shorter. But it feels like something you could do to rail into an enemy over and over again, knocking their ass to kingdom come.
Next is her "Flame Run" which I actually did because A. I had a cool ass mental image of her literally gliding along the ground using flames to move, and B. Because we were short on time so it would be alot easier than animating a run for her. So it was both practical and fucking cool, I wouldn't change it in that regard. (I'd make it better tho)
Next is the dash, which is pretty similar to Celeste's dash (game's meant to be a platformer) but does damage (or meant to) and can only be done horizontally. I didn't get time to animate it but the look itself is nice. I'd definitely refine it and make it look less like a PNG or something (since you can very clearly see the edges because so much is piled up there). But there's 2 versions, second was actually the prototype, but honestly it fits just as good as the final. I want to combine the two if I ever come back to this one.
Next is her jump. Was really fun to animate, and still has alot of stretch but clearly shows her personality has grown, no longer being afraid, but enraged instead.
Finally, is her death. I definitely think this one will be changed in the final, since I want to include a skeleton within the flames and perhaps have them consume her instead of exploding in a "burst". Really didn't give the burst enough anticipation too. Anyway though, enjoy all the animations, part 3 will be up soon, and THAT'S THE ONE I REALLY WANNA SHOW. THE BOSS AND THE ENEMIES. Real proud of that boss.

When you see the boss, you'll really understand how off the wall I went. Since I made it on the last day. Anyway glad you enjoyed it.
