Been playing and loving Eastward lately. It's a really nice blend of EarthBound and Zelda.

Always found the whole calling stuff "CalArts" lazy criticism. Ive not seen this for this game so far thankfully. Its probably one of my favorite games to come out this year visually. I'm loving how modern games are pushing pixel art games visual style much further than simply trying to re-create classic game visuals.
I like how the shadow looks like how people would shade things with newspaper print
