To those who have no idea who these characters are:

In the early drafts of The Lion King film, Nala’s mother was Naanda, one of Sarabi’s sisters. (That would have made Simba and Nala cousins!!!)

This is my design for Naanda that I represented here, by the way.

In the final film, it was changed to Sarafina instead.

So it gave me that idea. What if: Nala had lesbian moms? With Sarafina being her biological mom, of course!

Welp, it’s my headcanon now, and it also solved a very ancient question: Who is Nala’s dad? And the answer is:

NALA HAS NO DAD. ONLY MOMS.
